Each family situation and senior is unique, which is why you can choose what times of the day and days of the week you need care. Some people need more help during the afternoon, often during the evening, and sometimes during the morning.
You can determine when you can benefit most from having a caregiver. If you are unsure, we can help you develop a schedule based on your individual needs and budget.
Our minimum regular visit is four hours. Through years of doing this work, we have found that when caregiver visits are less than four hours, it is difficult to staff and it is hard for the caregivers to provide the high level of service that our clients need. We do offer one-hour brief visits at a higher hourly rate for clients that have a limited and short need. Please contact us to get the latest rates.
For some families, one day a week for four hours is plenty to help them stay on track. For others, twelve hours a day, seven days a week works best. It all depends on your situation and what you need.
What services are provided with hourly care?
Once you contact us at 412-421-5202, we will begin to gather information regarding your specific needs and location. We will then schedule a free in-home assessment to develop a care plan that meets your goals. During the assessment, we work with you to determine the time of day and the number of days per week you will receive services. We will also identify the tasks that the caregiver will provide on each visit. Below are examples of tasks that we can assist you or your loved one with:
During the initial assessment, we will gather very important information regarding the care and services that we will provide, and we will organize that information into a comprehensive plan of care that details the duties of the caregivers, the hours of coverage, and specific details such as preferred meals to prepare as well as favorite television shows or activities.
We know that it can be difficult to adjust to receiving help and/or to a caregiver in your home. Please, don’t hesitate to notify us if you have any questions or concerns. We won’t be happy unless you are happy!
At In-Home Quality Care, we are committed to honoring and celebrating the lives of our clients in the security that home provides. Call us at 412-421-5202 to discuss how we can assist you.
